The 5th Global Mobile IoT Summit at Mobile World Congress Americas
Meet the Mobile IoT Pioneers!
Join leading IoT operators and developers to discover how mobile low power wide area networks are reducing costs and redefining business models. After a successful year, delivering more than 40 Mobile IoT pilots globally, the industry is now progressing to commercial deployments of Mobile IoT (licensed spectrum low power wide area) networks in 2017/18. New low power wide area (LPWA) networks are now commercially available by US operators. LPWA technologies are designed for IoT applications that are low cost, use low data rates, require long battery lives (offering up to 10 years) and often operate in remote and hard to reach locations. They make it viable to connect large numbers of new devices and applications, paving the way for broad adoption by both individuals and enterprises.
At the 5th GSMA Global Mobile IoT Summit, leading experts including Cameron Coursey (AT&T), Ankur Bahn (Nokia) and Luke Ibbetson (Vodafone) will explore the ongoing commercialisation of licensed spectrum LPWA networks and their power to deliver service to billions of new devices providing complete IoT connectivity. A new generation of low cost modules and sensors will enable new IoT business models, and power smarter cities.
