8 September 2016 08:30 - 9 September 2016 19:00

Rapidly fleeting and penetrating mobile networks, web-based information creation and sharing, and networking technology have been enabling devices, from sensors to wearables to even manufacturing machines, with information technology.

The interconnectivity of smart devices and demand for data are evidence that the Internet of Things (IoT) will continue to grow by leaps and bounds. These interconnected devices have a massive potential to deliver value, but there is need for coordinated efforts when rolling out these next-generation self-reporting paradigms.

Any industry can be empowered with IoT, and so, various industries redesign their business models and processes around the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT). To maximize the social and economic benefit of technology, issues of interoperability, congregated data, developing platforms, and standardization across layers have to be addressed.
