Intelligent World Hackathon

5 July 2016 14:00 - 2 August 2016 20:00

Devpost and GE are running the Intelligent World Hackathon, a global online competition to build smart city apps with streetlight sensor data on Predix, GE’s Industrial Internet of Things platform.

All participants get a free Predix developer account, along with a shot at $58,000 in cash prizes. The grand prize, second prize, and category winners also receive private meetings with GE Ventures, GE’s startup incubator.

Using Predix to analyze sensor data from networks of smart LED lights, participants will build apps that improve urban living in one of four areas: parking and traffic, pedestrian planning, intelligent commercial and retail buildings, and public safety.

Submissions are due August 2, and judges include Dave Bartlett, CTO of Current, powered by GE; and Stacey Higginbotham, host of the Internet of Thing Podcast.
