Internet of Things – Where’s the profit for manufacturers?

For 20 years InVMA have been capturing data from things to change the way people work. Amongst the current “hype”, the improvements in technology are making it easier to obtain real-time data and use it more broadly and effectively. It is clearly making what was possible but expensive into what is affordable. But how do we make it profitable?

If you want a practical answer to this question for your business then InVMA invite you to participate in a workshop with your peers, ”Internet of Things – Where’s the profit for manufacturers?” At the session you will be able to explore how manufacturing and product businesses are becoming more profitable by really changing the way they work. You will have the chance to consider these opportunities and how they rank with the other priorities in your business.

InVMA will lead a brief discussion on the current “hype” and together we will un-pick what is real, what is not and where the value comes. You’ll consult in small groups with your peers and discuss what you have seen and explore the opportunities for you and your business. We will then bring together what we have all learned and you will leave with an enriched understanding of the opportunities and challenges you face.

What will you gain?

By attending, you’ll be introduced to a neat way of thinking about the impact of IoT on your business and how you could respond. You will:

  • Build your network with peers at an interactive workshop
  • Gain an understanding of the business benefits of IoT
  • Learn about real, working IoT solutions
  • Discover how IoT can improve your business profitability
