Policy Forum for London: Developing London’s tech sector
Guest of Honour: Gerard Grech, Chief Executive, Tech City UK and Member, London Tech Ambassadors Group
This seminar will provide a timely opportunity to discuss next steps for supporting London’s growing technology sector.
Delegates will discuss what more can be done to support digital start-ups and entrepreneurs facing challenges such as access to funding, affordable office space and skills and talent – with the Autumn Statement including measures to fund equity investment in high growth companies and to extend Entrepreneurs’ Relief – as well as latest developments in the FinTech, MedTech and Property tech sectors.
With consultation currently underway on a new planning strategy to develop London’s Tech City as a globally competitive base for technology companies, further sessions focus on priorities for the GLA in developing infrastructure – including plans for a Smart London – and providing superfast connectivity to support business.
